Family at the Lake Cabin, Pine River MN

Published July 15, 2013 in Family

Some if you know that last week I took a couple days and went out of town for a session. It was a special and fun time for me, as the session is with one of our Aunt and Uncles family. They were all at the lake for a few days, a special and rare time indeed. Tim and Sharon (my mom in laws sister) have been missionaries for World Gospel Mission for many years, and have spent many years over seas in Honduras. They are now “retired” but you all know what that really means 🙂 Their kids all […]

Family Hiking Day {taylor’s falls, mn}

Published May 29, 2013 in Family, fun stuff, Just some Chat!

Its been a few days, but I am still around! Memorial weekend went by too fast, but it was a great time with my family. We planted the veggie garden, and hiked Taylor’s Falls, and planted the annuals. In between all that nature stuff, we BBQ’d with tons of neighbors and friends. I am blessed. Throw in a few sessions and life couldn’t get any better. These great memories created with my family were capture with my lovely cell phone camera 🙂 excuse the quality! But, the memory is more valuable than the camera used here.

Lovely morning at the Orchard {Nellis Maternity Portraits}

Published May 24, 2013 in Family, Maternity

Weather in Minnesota can be unpredictable to say the least, which makes planning a location session a fun challenge. We had originally planned to visit a local wilderness park for this sweet maternity session, but when I went and scouted it out the day before, I discovered that it wasn’t to lovely yet this May due to our late arrival of spring. So, plan B. I drove around a bit scouting out alternate location, and happened past Pleasant Valley Orchard and discovered they were in bloom! What perfect timing! {thanks Judy and Jim for letting us come play!} We were […]

Davidson Family {and extras!}

Published May 23, 2013 in Family

Every session I have is unique. That is a big part of the reason I love my craft so much. I love variety, challenges, laughter, and the joy found in the results. This family…. well, they wrapped unique up in a tidy little bow for me. Our time together was truly priceless. You know how you sometimes just mesh with someone, and are immediately comfortable with them? The joking, laughing, and teasing was easy flowing. And it all started with Steve. If you know this family, you are probably saying to your self right now, no one in this photo […]

Joy in the little things <3

Published May 15, 2013 in Commercial, Family, flowers, fun stuff, Just some Chat!

Have you ever noticed that the things you love the most are often the most fleeting? Tulips. I adore them. Any color, any stage of growth, any location…. well, especially in a vase on my desk. {compliments of Floral Creations by Tanika here in Lindstrom!} They have such an elegant quality and the coloring is rich and diverse. While still closed they encase mystery and suspense, making you wonder what treasure is hidden inside. When they open its almost as if they are welcoming me in, begging to be admired and enjoyed. When I first placed these beautiful purple tulips […]

Generation Photos

Published May 14, 2013 in Family, fun stuff

Sunday I shared with you a little about what being a mom looks like to me. I didn’t go into great detail, but I think you were able to grasp my thoughts. Well, with that in mind, I just want to say today, as mom, its very important to be in photos with your children. Trust me, I have heard all the excuses, stalls, and fears; “I need to lose weight first”, “ugg, I am having a bad hair day”, “Not in this outfit, are you kidding?”, “I don’t have makeup on”, “I have a whopper zit!”. You get the […]
